Mini Tram Tool

Really great quality tool! Not the first product I bought from SST and certainly not the last either. Very happy!

I've struggled with using a dial indicator to level the head on my Sherline 2000 for the 7 years I've had it. X-axis was easy but not Y. I don't think I ever did get it down to a thousandth or 2, but with this, after I'd calibrated the two dial indicators (which are very nice ones) I had both axes well within a thousandth - dead nuts so to speak.Shipping was a bit of a stitch. SST is located 4 blocks north of my shop, which I didn't know until I looked them up. My tramming tool traveled all over south Florida on its way to me, but still arrived timely.It doesn't look like SST makes anything else I need, but I'll keep an eye on them. This is clearly a well thought out, well designed, well made and well packaged instrument. And their graphics are pretty nice too. And no, I don't work for them.

This is one of the best tools I have bought thus far for my mill! Within 15 minutes my new to me mill head was perfectly trammed in and good to go! I cannot recommend this tool enough for setting your mill!

I'm rating although I have not had time to use it. it. It is a well built and nice looking tool. The indicator dials are graduated in .0005", so accuracy will likely be very good.It would be good if it had a better container than the cardboard box packaging. As it is, I'll need to build or adapt a better container to protect this nice tool!
