Identibolt

I’ve been looking for a complete bolt size checker for some time to avoid carrying bolts in my pocket to the local hardware store. This tool is definitely the one to get - well built and has most bolt sizes commonly used around the house.

I got it for a project where I have a seized engine that I need to make special fittings that would go into the spark plug holes so I can feed marvel mystery oil into the cylinders. I want to use this to verify a bunch of right angle fittings so I can mate them to some specialty machined parts.

I have alot of bolts, washers, and nuts from different jobs and projects, new and used.
Sorting all my bolt bins, cans, and drawers will make my shop more efficient. It works with tools, I just don't know why I waited so long to organize my hardware.
I orderd standard and xl. I ordered a magnet kit and with minor mod, they are also magnetic.

I was organizing my bolt collection, and then I thought to myself, I need a checker. I wish I had bought this years ago. I have it hanging on a string next to my bolt collection. Nice.
