Used the drag knife out of the box to cut EPDM gasket. It worked really well even cutting 9mm holes. Just needed a quick python script to calculate the lead in and offset. Great product
I don’t have much to say except that it really does its job exactly as expected. I use it for fine grained leather and I am very happy with the results! This is my third drag knife and I honestly think this one will stay with me a lot longer. I mean something like a drag knife sounds like a stupid simple tool but it’s actually not that easy to find a good one.
Also kudos for great support and shipping on time halfway around the world.
Recently purchased this particular drag knife. I must say that this particular brand is very safe and precise. Unlike other brands, this one has the blade totally concealed with only the cutting edge exposed. And the price was actually cheaper than the competitor. Quality make, sturdy and a precision tool for a simple task.
Like all SST tools I own, the tool is flawless. Materials, precision, quality of workmanship. It does what it says on the box, and it does it perfectly.
I'm using mine to cut engine gaskets out of various materials.
I have several dragknives and this is by far the best. The offset is easily calculated and if you not quite cutting you can just tweak the depth screw and get great results. I have cut 0.007 to coroplast all in one pass. Previously I did these same materials in two passes. Great price too.
