I recently picked up an airline kit for my garage and was dreading straightening the pipe based on multiple reviews. I have several tools from sst and every one of them is awesome so I figured I’d give this one a try. First, it’s built like a tank. Seriously, when you’re done straightening you can use it as a weapon. Second, and most important, it works like a dream. Throw the bend pipe in one end and pull nice straight pipe out the other.
This straightener is perfect, It works smoothly and effectively in a short amount of time. I highly recommend it to anyone buying coiled tubing.
I have used the smaller and more expensive single size straighteners on the marker, but while they work well, you need a few of them to tackle every fuel or brake line tubing. I recently came across SST and found this model that can be used from 3/16 to 1” tubing! I’ve used soft copper rolled tubing for plumbing repairs and some NiCopp brake line and it functions just fine! Can be either thrown in a vise or bolted to a workbench. A well made tool that’s rebuildable!
